국제갤러리 부산점은 국제갤러리 서울에 이은 국내 두 번째 지점으로, 2018년에 F1963 내에 개관했다. 국제갤러리 부산점은 한국 현대사진을 대표하는 작가 구본창의 개인전을 시작으로 단색화의 거장 하종현, 덴마크 출신 3인조 작가그룹 수퍼플렉스(SUPERFLEX), 호주 출신 작가 다니엘 보이드(Daniel Boyd)의 전시를 선보이는 등 국내 대표화랑으로서 회화와 조각, 사진과 영상 등 다채로운 작품을 지역에 소개하였다. 홍승혜의 개인전 《이동 중(On the Move)》는 2000년대 초에 시작한 평면의 운동성 실험부터 애니메이션과 퍼포먼스로 이어지는 움직임의 역사를 아우르는 작업들을 선보인다. 전시 제목인 “이동 중”은 작품 속 이미지의 지속적인 이동과 형식·매체·감각의 변화는 물론, 영상이라는 매체가 본질적으로 지닌 운동성을 폭넓게 아우르며, 앞으로의 작업이 향할 열린 방향성을 암시한다.

Opened in 2018 within F1963, the Kukje Gallery Busan is the second domestic branch of Kukje Gallery following its Seoul location. Since its opening, the gallery has introduced a wide range of artistic practices to the region, including painting, sculpture, photography, and video, as one of Korea’s leading galleries. Its exhibitions have included a solo presentation by photographer Koo Bohnchang, a major figure in Korean contemporary photography, as well as exhibitions by monochrome painting master Ha Chong-hyun, the Danish artist collective SUPERFLEX, and Australian artist Daniel Boyd.

The exhibition brings together works that trace Hong Seunghye's exploration of movement, spanning from her two-dimensional image created in the early 2000s to later developments in animation and performance. The title of the exhibition, On the Move, encapsulates this ongoing focus on transition and flow, not only the continual movement of images within her works, but also the shift in form, medium, and perceptual sensibility that define her practice.
