허먼갤러리는 지역적 맥락에서 출발해 동시대 예술의 흐름과 연결되는 흐름을 탐구한다. 특히 아직 충분히 조명되지 않은 작가를 발굴하고 예술적 실천이 동시대 담론 안에서 확장될 수 있는 가능성을 모색한다.

본 전시는 오필리아와 스페인 바스크 지역의 라미아 신화를 바탕으로, 신체를 매개로 두 존재를 교차시키며 지역적 신화와 동시대적 감각 속에서 재구성한다. 인간과 비인간, 가시적인 것과 비가시적인 것, 생존과 신념의 경계에 위치한 이 존재들은 명확한 언어가 아닌 신체의 흔적과 움직임을 통해 서사를 드러낸다.

Hermon Gallery begins from a local context and explores trajectories that connect to the broader currents of contemporary art. In particular, it seeks to discover artists who have not yet received sufficient recognition and to investigate the possibilities for their artistic practices to expand within contemporary discourse.

Drawing on Ophelia and the Basque myth of Lamia from northern Spain, the artist Irati Inoriza interweaves these two figures through the body, reconstructing them within both a regional mythological framework and a contemporary sensibility. These entities reveal their narratives not through fixed language but through traces and movements of the body.
