어컴퍼니(ACCOMPANY)는 현대미술을 기반으로 작가, 컬렉터, 기관을 연결하며 예술의 사회적 역할을 실천하는 갤러리이다. 부산 '프로젝트 어컴퍼니(Project AC)'와 제주 '공간 오름’을 포함한 다각적인 전시 네트워크와 유럽, 아시아를 아우르는 글로벌 네트워크를 바탕으로 폭넓은 큐레이팅을 지향하는 어컴퍼니는, 현대미술의 저변을 넓히고 예술 향유의 문턱을 낮추는 신뢰도 높은 아트 플랫폼을 지향한다. 어컴퍼니에서 개최되는 2인전 <친애하는 알고리즘 : The Emotional Matrix>는 컴퓨터 아트의 전설적인 개척자 베라 몰나(Vera Molnár)와 부산을 기반으로 동시대 미디어 설치 예술을 선도하는 정혜련(Jung Hyeryun) 작가가 공유하는 '알고리즘'이라는 예술적 언어를 조명한다. 이번 전시는 1960년대 초창기 컴퓨터 아트를 개척하며 '계산된 미학'을 정립한 베라 몰나와 그 유산을 이어받아 기술을 유기적인 빛의 흐름과 공간적 설치로 치환하는 정혜련의 작업을 나란히 배치하여 디지털 예술의 60년 연대기를 집약해 보여준다.

The duo exhibition The Emotional Matrix illuminates the shared artistic language of "algorithms" explored by Vera Molnár, a trailblazing pioneer of computer art, and Jung Hyeryun (JHR), a leading figure in Busan's contemporary media and installation art scene. By juxtaposing the work of Vera Molnár, who established the foundation of "calculated aesthetics" in the 1960s, with that of Jung Hyeryun (JHR), who carries this legacy forward by transmuting technology into spatial installations and rhythmic flows of light, the exhibition offers a condensed survey of a 60-year digital art lineage.
